But what you didn’t know is that the real Mr. Bean (Mr. Rowan Atkinson) has a serious taste when it comes with speed and beauty. He recently sold one of his prized possessions, the McLaren F1. In 1997, Rowan Atkinson bought this beauty for £540,000. The mileage on the car was only 64,300km. Despite the low mileage, this car already crashed twice. Yes you read that right, this car has crashed twice in its lifetime. The second crash was in 2011, it crashed into a hedge in Oxfordshire. Of course, the accident made headlines when they found out that the repair took at least £910,000. The most expensive repair bill for a car in history ever recorded. Well who wouldn’t spend that much to make sure that a princess would look as beautiful as ever right?

'Johnny English Reborn ' film premiere, London, Britain - 02 Oct 2011Now let’s get down to the numbers. How much did Mr. Bean sell this princess you ask? £8,000,000. Although reports doesn’t
want to tell us the exact price on how much the car was sold for, but one thing’s for sure. Mr. Atkinson, his car dealers and the buyer walked away with big smiles on their faces. Imagine owning a car that was previously owed by Sir Rowan Atkinson, a car that is one of the rarest of its model, mileage that low, an earth trembling 627hp that will send you 0 to 100kph in just 3.2 seconds and has a top speed of 388kph. Take note, this car is 18 years old and was born in the 90’s. Mr. Atkinson once posed a picture with the McLaren F1 and said a quote: “It depresses me when great cars are hidden away. It’s a crime NOT to use it.”
