- Whitehaven Beach, Whitsunday Islands, Australia
The Whitsunday Island’s famous beach stretches for seven kilometers and is washed by swirls of turquoise, blue and green water. The sand is 98 percent pure white silica, which gives it a brilliant, near luminescent color. It is the most photographed beach in Australia and has been named the South Pacific’s Best Beach by the 2015 TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards.
